Drs. Roger and Nadene Tipton are passionate about caring for children and their smiles in a safe and fun atmosphere. They have obtained certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Orthodontics, both of which are voluntary endeavors and unique to the Lubbock area. Dr. Roger also receives regular training in Pediatric Advanced Life Support to ensure additional safety for care delivered in office. He offers sedation options when necessary, while working closely with an anesthesiologist.
Dr. Nadene serves as a clinical faculty member in orthodontics at Baylor in Dallas. She believes in sharing her extensive knowledge and experience with up and coming orthodontists as a way of ensuring future excellence in the field of orthodontics through lecturing, instructing, and mentoring new doctors. She has received many prestigious clinical awards in orthodontics, judged by her peers from the Texas Orthodontic Study Club (an intensive study group of 150 orthodontists committed to excellence), and will soon serve as the group’s president.
Dr. Roger and Dr. Nadene understand the importance of family. They have three sons of their own and recently celebrated their oldest starting medical school right here at Texas Tech. Over the years, their family has grown to include their wonderful staff. They have made it a priority to nurture, encourage, and train in a Christian environment, tirelessly helping their staff achieve both personal and professional goals. This investment has helped their staff make a difference within their own families and the patients they serve. All of the assistants are dental certified, and three have completed the rigorous AAO orthodontic assistant accreditation and nitrous oxide certification.
Both doctors are members of Lubbock’s accredited Cleft Palate/ Craniofacial Team where they volunteer their services for children born with cleft lip and palate. They also support the troops by participating in Operation Gratitude, collecting, and mailing hundreds of pounds of sweets every year after Halloween. We want to support our patients from birth to adulthood, so don’t be surprised to see Dr. Roger and Dr. Nadene sitting in the stands at your basketball games, or cheering with the crowd as you graduate from high school.
To us, you’re more than just another patient…you’re a member of the family.
